The legendary WALTHER PPK/S will be re-continued in Germany for the first time since 1989 now in .22LR caliber. The ongoing large demand for this classic cult pistol in the USA led the Ulm based company to ramp up production in Germany again.
This book, available in two volumes, was conceived to celebrate the 125-year anniversary of the firm Carl Walther GmbH. This successful German company had its beginnings in the 19th century in, what was then, the town of Zella St. Blasii (Thuringia), as a gunsmith workshop.
In the course of an Europe-wide tender for the new armament the Dutch Police has decided in favour of the traditional manufacturer WALTHER. Once again Walther was able to prevail convincingly against the competition and awarded the contract with an order volume of 45,000 pistols for the WALTHER P99 Q NL.

Customer service has top priority and therefore it is consequent that WALTHER has strengthened the service to the customers i. e. sport shooters by a new employee. As of now Mr. Bernhard Knäble heads as sport director the service team around Sven Martini, Christian Bauer and Jürgen Billharz in order to support the national and international top marksmen. This position has been newly created at the company Walther.

In the course of an Europe-wide tender for the supply of pistols for the Finnish police, border guard, and customs WALTHER awarded the contract for a maximum order volume of 7.800 pistols.
